Phnom Penh, Cambodia – On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Paññāsāstra International School (PSIS) held a significant Kan Ben Solidarity event at Wat Nikrothavorn (Koul Toteung). The initiative, spearheaded by the Board of Directors of the Paññāsāstra International School, aimed to foster a sense of community and cultivate positive mindsets among students, teachers, and staff.
Under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Kol Pheng and Mrs. Kol Kim Phalla, the event focused on several key objectives:
- Merit-Building: To promote a culture of giving and compassion among the Paññāsāstra community.
- Guidance and Inspiration: To provide students, teachers, and staff with valuable insights and advice from esteemed figures, Dr. Kol Pheng and Venerable Dr. Kou Sopheap.
- Alms Giving: To support the local monastic community through the act of offering alms to monks.
The Kan Ben Solidarity event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community, compassion, and personal growth. By participating in this event, individuals were encouraged to cultivate good mindsets, seek guidance from experienced leaders, and contribute to the well-being of others.
The blessings of the Buddha – Longevity, Nobility, Health and Strength – were invoked upon all participants, with the hope that they would embrace these qualities and strive for personal and spiritual development.
