On February 18, Dr. Apirat Petchsiri, Dean of the Faculty of Integrated Social Science, and Daniel J. Mitterhoff, Director of Mekong Regional Legal Studies Program of the Faculty of Integrated Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, Nongkhai campus, came to Paññ?s?stra University of Cambodia (PUC) to sign the memorandum of understanding between the faculties of law to facilitatejoint research and publication, annual symposiums, and scholarship support to attend English language law degree and non-degree programs.
Dr. Sam-Ang Sam, PUC Chancellor, addressed his warm welcome to the delegates and wished to extend further collaboration in the international study program.
“Cambodia and Thailand have good relations in economic and public affairs which enhances the partnership,” said Dr. Apirat. “Though it is just a starting point, we hope to involve actively in the project.”
The delegates wish to begin the exchange and symposium, as well as participate in the annual conference soon.
“Nobody can understand more than us,” said Dr. Apirat. “We encourage our students and researchers to write more journal articles and do more publications.”
The project will last for two years. The agreementwas made for 5 years.
