– Certificate of Theological Studies (CTS) from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California
– BA in Psychology from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina
To his teaching, Dr. Hannen brings more than 30 years of experience as a business and legal consultant, advocate, and active arbitrator and mediator. He was a member of the Complex Commercial Matter Panel for the American Arbitration Association and has taught student centered courses for the AAA and the State Bar of California as well as in colleges and universities.
It is exactly this student centered approach to education PUC‐ Siem Reap employs setting it apart from other universities in Cambodia.
Dr. Hannen is also a published writer co‐authoring More Than Survival, a guide for maintaining dynamism and innovation in higher education without growth (Carnegie Commission of Higher Education Publications). He currently teaches precollege academic writing as well as a variety of undergraduate courses.
Travels include Europe, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. He speaks “un peu Français (but much more if I am in Paris for a week)” and some Khmer.
He has also taught martial arts and holds a second degree black belt in Kenpo Karate.
