A group of Japanese from Japanese Yonezawa Rotary Club led by Ms. Akiba Takako, the President, visited Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia. At Srei Dim Hall, PUC President, Dr. Chea San Chanthan warmly welcomed the delegations with a short speech which means to strengthen the relationship between Cambodia and Japan. Along with their visit, Japanese Yonezawa Rotary Club offered a grant for three PUC students who have been chosen to receive some amount of money to support their study. To thank Japanese Yonezawa Rotary Club for their generosity, Dr. Chea expressed his strong appreciation and suggested that the Club provide master scholarships for PUC students to study in Japan. The benefits are, for one thing, the students will fulfill higher education, and they can learn and understand more about Japanese culture, for another thing. At lunch time, after the meeting, Dr. Chea made a meaningful conversation with the delegations. The delegations were so delighted and promised to take Dr. Chea’s suggestion into consideration.
