PUC Third Graduation Ceremony

On September 8, 2009 Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia celebrates its 3rd Graduation ceremony with 374 graduates (257 of them holding Bachelor degree).

This hectic ceremony participated by students, parents, relatives, professors, Deans and the Press is presided over by H.E. Pit Chamnan, Secretary of State of the ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Dr. Chea San Chanthan, PUC President.

After Dr. Chea San Chanthan’s welcoming speech, H.E. Pit Chamnan pays Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia his compliments on PUC walking procession and PUC unique graduation gowns and delivers his speech on PUC success and prosperity. Apart from good and useful advice, H.E Pit Chamnan strongly recommends that schools improve quality and standard for better education rather than lower fees as a way of gaining popularity.

The ceremony ends with the degree delivery presented by H.E Pit Chamnan, PUC Deans, Associate Deans and PUC Board of Trustees.


PUC 10th Year Anniversary Celebration

After 10 years of achievements, success and prosperity, PUC solemnly celebrates its 10-year anniversary on September 8 & 9, 2009.

 

On the afternoon of September 8, 2009:

The event starts with the video presentation of PUC’s achievements and success over the past ten years, following by an appraisal remark of Dr. Chea San Chanthan, PUC President. In his remark, Dr. Chea reports briefly on PUC history and developments since the establishment of PUC till now. Dr. Chea stresses that the achievement and success of PUC today stems from the effort, devotion and commitment of faculty members, professors, staff and of course from students. The event ends with a Drama titles ‘There is a will, There is a way’, performed by PUC students.

 On the morning of September 9, 2009:

 The event begins with several speeches by high achiever, alumni representative, PASS President and faculty representative. In addition to Dr. Chea’s remark, PUC Founding Father Dr. Kol Pheng pays PUC faculty members, professors, and staff a compliment. Dr. Kol also recounts a Buddhist story titles ‘Struggle leads to Success.’

Dr. Kol even encourages PUC faculty members, professors, and staff to work harder for better improvement and success of PUC in the future.

The event ends with a performance by the Youth Group led by Prof. Sambo Manara.

On the evening of September 9, 2009:

“Behind every strong man, there is always a good woman.” Indeed, PUC’s achievements and success did not simply happen without individuals behind. PUC’s teamwork and spirit are very well commendable, and of course “Behind every success of PUC, there are always committed, dedicated and hard working individuals.” In celebrating PUC’s proud 10th Year Anniversary, PUC would like to recognize, honor and thank these special individuals who have worked so hard, dedicating their times and efforts to make PUC a successful and leading institution in Cambodia.

In this ceremony, there was an appreciation remarks by Dr. Sam Sok, PUC Chairman of the Board of Trustees. In his speech, he appreciates Dr. Kol Pheng, PUC Founding father for his hard work, and Dr.Kol was the one pushing the starting of PUC. 

The event ends with the presentation of recognition award to 23 best of the best faculty members and staff.

Later of that day, there are food displays with many food stands, prepared by PUC students.
